PiTimeDistributed Computing

Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 August 2026

PiTime.net is a personal, non-commercial site about distributed computing, operated by Edward Reese in California, USA. By using it you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is

An enthusiast page for Folding@home team 53269 and for BOINC projects the owner runs or recommends. It is informational. Nothing here is professional, scientific, financial or legal advice, and nothing here is a service you are buying.

2. Not affiliated

PiTime.net is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Folding@home, Stanford University, Washington University, the University of California, BOINC, or any project linked from this site. Their names, logos and trademarks belong to them and are used here only to refer to the projects. Participation in any of those projects is governed by that project's own terms, not by these.

3. Accuracy of the statistics

Team and project figures are pulled from public third-party APIs and cached. They may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong if the upstream source is wrong or unavailable — in which case this site may show the last figures it successfully retrieved. They are provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy, and should not be relied on for anything that matters.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

5. Messages you send

You are responsible for what you send through the contact form, and for having the right to send it. Do not send confidential or sensitive information through it — it is an ordinary email form, not a secure channel.

6. Site content

The text, design, code and images of this site are the owner's, except for third-party names and marks referred to above. Please do not republish substantial parts of it without permission; linking to it is always welcome.

7. Availability and disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. It is a personal project run on personal hardware; it may be slow, interrupted, or taken down at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use this site.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

11. Contact

Use the contact form on this site.

These terms are written in plain language for a personal site. They are not legal advice, and they have not been reviewed by a lawyer.
